oh tumblr. i have sort of loosened my ties.

i really love this blog & am thankful to have it .. mostly because when i go back through it all i remember moments, days, events, family, friends, emotions, myself .. i can see growth. i am thankful for that too.

my plan is to continue to blog in some form but a little differently. 

 *i will try to keep track of & write about my ‘plans/goals’ for this year because those are all very important to me.

lots has been happening in my life. lots that i’m excited about, lots that i’m nervous about. i feel though for the first time in a long time i’m having more & more moments of being fully awake. i’m ready, willing & excited to continue to grow.

i donated blood this past saturday.

according to the american red cross, january is national volunteer blood donor month. i plan to donate regularly this year. if you’re eligible, you should consider it too ..

give life

for me personally, my hope for the new year is that i say yes more often than no.

yes to new experiences, new opportunities for growth & learning, traveling, meeting new folks.

i want to say yes to my fears & learn as much as i can from potentially less than ideal situations.

i want to be mindful of each person, animal, insect (seriously) i meet. we are all connected & we all need one another .. i believe. 

2012

1) volunteer/donate time to a charity

2) volunteer at a soup kitchen/shelter

3) volunteer at an animal shelter 

4) volunteer time to 91.3 the summit

5) donate blood 

6) learn sign language

7) attend church regularly

8) take at least THREE yoga classes

9) be more thrifty (aka crafty)

10) run a 13.1

11) travel to at least three different states (maybe more)

12) live simply & be mindful

by the end of 2012 i plan to have written at least one blog about each number. the experiences, the people, the knowledge, the love, the hope.
